Each year, the College sponsors courses on Quality and Safety for Leaders in Women’s Health Care, designed to provide performance improvement and management tools for current and future leaders in hospitals, managed care organizations, or private settings to enable them to meet the myriad responsibilities and challenges facing them. The next offering will be held in Washington, DC, April 9-11, 2015. Please note that for Fellows who register before 2/06/15 will receive a $100 discount. In addition, the College has added an advanced course to be held following the first offering (April 11-12, 2015). The advanced course, Quality and Safety in Women’s Health Care: An Advanced Program is designed to allow participants to develop an actual process improvement initiative or project in his or her organization, or to reinvigorate an existing one. Attendance at the ACOG course on Quality and Safety for Leaders in Women’s Health Care or comparable program is a prerequisite. The SCOPE program is hitting the road! Program staff will be on site at the 2013 MGMA Obstetrics and Gynecology Program, April 21-23, in Chicago, IL. Join us in Washington, DC, April 4-6, 2013, for the highly successful Quality and Safety for Leaders in Women's Health Care postgraduate course.This course is designed to provide leadership tools for current and future physician leaders in hospital departments of obstetrics and gynecology, managed care organizations, or private practice settings. There will be specific emphasis on methodologies to enhance patient safety through prevention, interception and mitigation of medical errors. All major aspects regarding the structure and operation of departmental quality assessment and quality improvement functions are addressed. The course is also appropriate for physicians and other providers who want to enhance their management and performance improvement skills. This course is highly interactive, and will include an opportunity to bring safety and quality related problems from home for discussion with the faculty and attendees.
